      Deciding on the optimal amount and composition of IV Fluids to be administered and the best rate at which to give can be difficult task. The decisions must            be based on the careful assessment of the patient’s individual needs.

      The course is designed to enable healthcare professionals to safely initiate and maintain intravenous therapy in the clinical setting The course is designed to        enable healthcare professionals to safely initiate and maintain intravenous therapy in the clinical setting.

      To teach healthcare staff (whom IV starts and care are part of their scope of practice) the fundamental principles and competencies required to begin,                         maintain and discontinue intravenous therapy.

      Also, the course is design to integrate the infection control practices in IV management.
